Child rate: Lush accommodates children from the age of 10 years old. Children aged 10 & 11 years old are charged 70% of the applicable rate. From 12 years, standard rates apply.

Gratuities; premium beers, wines, and spirits; Lush Boutique purchases; additional activities; guided bush walks, at an additional cost and subject to availability of a guide; Black Rhino Reserve fees of R140 per person per day (subject to change without prior notice); transfers; spa treatments
Payment terms:

Provisional bookings for arrival more than 30 days out are held for 14 days. Provisional bookings for arrival 30 days or less out are released after 72 hours. Lush Private Lodge may extend the provisional booking period at its sole discretion.

Bookings for arrival more than 60 days out require a 20% non-refundable deposit within 7 days of written confirmation. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.

Bookings for arrival 60 days or less out are subject to receipt of payment of the total invoiced amount within 5 days of written confirmation, but at least 24 hours prior to arrival.

All payments shall be made in South African Rand and shall be made by means of an electronic funds transfer.

Payment shall be made without deduction or set-off, with bank charges for the account of the sender.
Cancellation terms:
Lush Private Lodge reserves the right to cancel any reservation based on the non-payment of either the deposit or the balance of payment, without notice. Such cancellation may attract cancellation fees as set out hereunder. In the event of a reservation being cancelled by or on behalf of the traveller in writing after Lush Private Lodge has issued a confirmation, the following cancellations fees will apply:

Cancellations made with more than 60 days to travel forfeit the 20% deposit

Cancellations made within 60 days or less to travel forfeit the full payment
No refunds are made for missed services, except in verifiable extenuating circumstances. Verifiable claims will only be considered if received in writing within thirty (30) days of the service being missed, and any refunds made will be at the discretion of Lush Private Lodge. Compassionate circumstances will be taken into account for cancellations due to uninsurable events.
Insurance, Liability & Advisory
• Travel Insurance: It is the responsibility of each visitor to Lush Private Lodge to ensure that adequate and comprehensive travel insurance is in place from the time of confirmation of a booking at Lush Private Lodge and that details of such insurance are available during the time of travel. Such travel insurance must cover the visitor against all risks including but not limited to costs of cancellation and curtailment, damage, delay, evacuation, medical treatment, hospitalization, illness, inconvenience, injury, loss, repatriation, and theft. Lush Private Lodge cannot accept any liability for any of these events under any circumstances.
• Safety: Safari activities and visits to a safari area and/or a safari camp, place visitors in close proximity to wild animals and expose visitors to the hazards of such environment. Whilst every care is taken by Lush Private Lodge to avoid any incident, Lush Private Lodge bears no responsibility whatsoever for any loss, injury, illness, death, delays, cancellations, or changes to an itinerary and retains the right to alter, amend or cancel any part of a safari at Lush Private Lodge with just reason.
• Force Majeure: Lush Private Lodge shall not be held responsible for any force majeure events beyond the reasonable control of Lush Private Lodge, including but without limitations acts of god, exclusions, flood, fire or accident, war or threat of war, sabotage or civil disturbance, the occurrence of which may result in the cancellation of travel. Lush Private Lodge shall not be deemed to be in breach, or be otherwise liable for its non-performance to the extent that any such delay or non-performance is due to any force majeure. Lush Private Lodge shall be entitled, at its sole and absolute discretion, to cancel or amend any reservation if it is so affected by a force majeure, and shall use reasonable endeavors to refund the travellers, subject to deducting the actual and potential costs incurred by Lush Private Lodge.
• Travel Advisory: Visitors are recommended to check with their Foreign Offices, Consular section, and travel agent for current visa requirements, travel, health, and safety advisories. All travellers must comply with the necessary visa, child-travel documents, and health requirements that are applicable to travelling to South Africa. Lush Private Lodge shall not be liable in any way if a guest fails to take the necessary medical precautions or obtain the necessary visa, or if a guest is denied entry into South Africa for any reason whatsoever.
